Cruz's Announcement

Jen Herem Photography Cruz Newborn

Meeting little brother

Cruz

Cole had such a hard time leaving mommy at the hospital. he wanted me to come home with him. He is the sweetest little boy

Our attempt at a family picture, I am guessing we won't have a good picture for a loooonnnnnng while.

Presley (doesn't she look like Chelsea here?)

Cole loves his little brother. He calls him "baby Cruz" and Cole always says how much he likes him.

Paisley still trying to figure things out that she is not the baby of the family anymore. We have caught her several times with his binkie in her mouth, but since this photo we have not seen her with his bottle, I am thinking she got the hint that it was not her "baba"

Coming Home

We were so excited to finally come home from the hospital and start to try and figure out how to do this whole 4 kids thing. Here we are at home.

We have 3 big helpers here at home. This picture and the next 2 were literally all within 30 seconds just to give you a glimpse of how "helpful" my helpers are. Here is Presley giving Cruz a bottle. ( you can see paisley has her babies bottle that she was helping out with)

Here is Paisley giving him a blanket from her dolly!

And Cole had to give his brother a hold. We are really in for it with all of these little ones helping out. But at least Cruz is very very loved!

All ready to go!

Wide awake. For a newborn Cruz is awake more than any other newborn I have ever seen. Good thing he is such a good baby!

Visitors at the Hospital

We are so lucky to have such an amazing support system. We had so many family members come visit us in the hospital and here they all are. I also have to tell my mom thank you so much! She truly has been amazing throughout me having my fourth kid, actually she has been through out me having everyone of my kids. She took my 3 kids every day for a week! But that alone is another post! Enjoy the pictures :)

Cruz John Carroll Labor Story

When we arrived at the hospital feeling very large!

Right after Cruz was born

7 pounds!

Truly the BEST Dr. ever! I cannot even begin to tell you all the amazing things Dr Kasteler has done for my own little family. And no he is not related :)

We love Dr. Kasteler

Cruz looks just like Dave. We are so excited to have another little buddy!
I went to be induced 6 days before my due date at 9:30. We dropped off the kids at my mom's house and headed straight to the hospital. After only being dialated to a 1 they started me on pitocin and we waited and waited. Really nothing excited happened all day. At around 5:30 my nurse had checked me and I was only a 4. At 5:45 I felt overwhelming amount of pressure and finally decided to call my nurse in even though I felt so dumb because I doubted it was anything. She came in and checked me and said that I was complete at about 5:55. She immediately called Dr Kasteler who lives in Bountiful and he literally RACED up to LDS hospital. He arrived at 6:20 and Cruz was born at 6:40! It still was quite intense and a really hard recovery, but for sure easier than pushing twins and having twins as your first! :)
